The Black Forest National Park takes the protection of your personal data extremely seriously. We have therefore taken measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed both by ourselves and by our external service providers.
The further development of our website and the technologies used may necessitate changes to this data protection declaration. We therefore recommend reading the data protection declaration from time to time.
The following declaration provides an overview of how the National Park Administration ensures the protection of your data, and which type of data is collected and for which purposes.

 

Emails to the Black Forest National Park

If you send us an email, this email and the email address will be used solely for corresponding with you. Once your query has been fulfilled or answered, your details will be deleted.

 

Voluntary personal information

In some parts of our website, you have the opportunity to provide voluntary personal data. The submitted (personal) data will be saved and used only for the purpose for which it was collected. Passing the information to a third party will take place only when the purpose of your enquiry necessitates this.
Automatically saved protocol data will be deleted after expiry of a short period.


Data collection for web analytics

The Black Forest National Park website uses Piwik, an open-source software tool for statistically analysing visitor traffic. Piwik uses so-called cookies which are text files stored on your computer to allow analysis to take place on how you use the website. The following information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored on the servers belonging to the Black Forest National Park:

  • Visitor’s IP address (the IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and prior to being saved)
  • Time of the server request
  • Type and version of the internet browser used
  • The operating system used
  • The address of the page accessed
  • The address of the page accessed before

The National Park Administration has no opportunity to assign this data to a specific person. Merging this data with other data sources will not take place. IP numbers are recorded only for the duration of the visit for the purpose of answering enquiries and are not saved beyond the end of the visit.

Data which was recorded when accessing the website will only be passed to third parties when obliged by law or court order, or attacks to the internet infrastructure of the Black Forest National Park necessitates disclosure for purposes of legal or criminal prosecution. Disclosure in other cases will not take place.
